Deakin University is excited to host Rosi Braidotti to launch her co-edited book: Posthuman Glossary (2018). The event is free and open to the public.
When: Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM (AEST)
Where: Deakin Downtown, Lever 12, tower 2/727 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3008

The event will include virtual visits by various artists and academics who have contributed entries to the glossary. Participants are asked to read a selection of these brief entries, which will be pre-circulated once the final list of virtual visitors is confirmed, 1-2 weeks prior to the event. This will give opportunities for discussion in response to the virtual contributions and in relation to the general content of the Glossary.
Confirmed participants include (and the title/s of their Glossary entry/ies):
Eben Kirksey (Multispecies)
Steve Mentz (Blue Humanities)
Goda Klumbyte (Extended Cognition, Kin, Trans*)
Ramon Amaro (Afrofuturism, Precognition)
Serpil Oppermann (Ecomaterialism, Storied Matter)
Patricia MacCormack (the Ahuman, Posthuman Ethics, Posthuman Sexuality)
This event is sponsored by the Deakin Science and Society Network and the Alfred Deakin Institute.
